Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few." Matthew 9 verse 37. As Christians God calls us to to be laborers for the faith through works of mercy. Because every person that is suffering has Christ suffering in them and in serving the suffering we are serving God.
Then the king will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me. Then the righteous will answer him and say, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? When did we see you ill or in prison, and visit you? And the king will say them in reply, 'Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.' Matthew 25 verses 34-40.
FAITH WITHOUT GOOD WORKS IS DEAD "For just as a body without spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead."
"I see God in every human being. When I wash the leper's wounds, I feel I am nursing the Lord himself. Is it not a beautiful experience?" "A servant of God signifies one who has a great charity towards his neighbor and an inviolable resolution to follow in everything the Divine Will." "Charity is the sweet and holy bond which links the soul with its Creator: it binds God with man and man with God." "Charity is the form, mover, mother and root of all the virtues."
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Matthew 5 verse 7 |
